The GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry development.
Following a major fire at the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) at Nottingham University, Robru Ltd was successful in the competitive tender process during which our knowledge and experience gained whilst erecting the original building proved invaluable. The 16 week programme involved assembling horns during a 4 week period and a further 12 weeks spent on the main building which included rooflights, feature staircase and winter garden balustrade.
The GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry is a landmark development undertaken by The University of Nottingham on its Jubilee Campus in 2014.
The carbon neutral laboratory at The University of Nottingham Innovation Park was constructed in partnership with the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and Impact: The Nottingham Campaign, the University’s largest fundraising appeal to change lives, tackle global issues and shape the future. The Campaign facilitated a £12 million grant from GSK as part of their ‘green chemistry’ commitment.
